İrem Merkan focuses her practice on corporate and commercial law, with particular experience in venture capital and M&A transactions, corporate governance, commercial contracts, e-commerce law, and data protection. She is registered with the Istanbul Bar Association and is a graduate of Istanbul University Faculty of Law. She advises domestic and international clients on due diligence processes, shareholders’ agreements, share purchase agreements, convertible loan structures, board and general assembly matters, trade registry procedures, and regulatory compliance. Her work includes advising on end-to-end investment transactions, drafting and negotiating transaction and commercial documentation, overseeing post-closing corporate actions, and advising clients on the legal aspects of e-commerce operations and data protection compliance.
